DIY aerial photography with a GoPro camera and helium balloons

I might just have to try this -- the kite aerial photography is too dependent on the perfect wind conditions...

Panoramic Time-Lapse Rendition of Alfred Hitchcock’s "Rear Window"

Absolutely fantastic video of Hitchcock's "Rear Window" as a single panoramic time-lapse of the entire courtyard. Jeff Desom states on his website: "I dissected all of Hitchcock’s Rear Window and stiched it back together in After Effects. I stabilized all the shots with camera movement in them. Since everything was filmed from pretty much the same angle I was able to match them into a single panoramic view of the entire backyard without any greater distortions. The order of events stays true to the movie’s plot."

Stratocam: A Hot-Or-Not For The Prettiest Satellite Images On Google Maps

Media_httpwwwfastcode_nufgt

Reminiscent of Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s Earth from Above, Stratocam invites users to explore the world through satellite imagery and to highlight or rate the most interesting and beautiful crops.  The project also divorces the act and the moment of framing from the final capture.  Pretty addictive stuff if you ask me...

Artefact Group's Camera-as-Jewelry Concept

Media_https3filescore_hdstw

I would consider buying on of these!

The idea is that you wear the camera as a pendant so that it's always close at hand. The camera has 2 shooting modes: 1) one mode allows you to hit the button to capture a single shot; and 2) one mode allows you to double-tap the button to snap a picture at a fixed interval. Images can then be transferred wirelessly to your phone. You can also pick an image to display in the viewfinder like a mini Polaroid around your neck. Leaving an image up apparently doesn't burn the battery as the display uses e-ink technology that only draws power when changing the image.

Alas, this camera pendant is only a concept...
